The infrastructure exists, the date does not hold
The Federal Act on Electronic Identity was accepted in the popular vote of 28 September 2025. The trust infrastructure is open as a sandbox, with an official wallet, and a company will be able to issue its own credentials there, verifiable through federal registers.
The timetable, however, has slipped. The launch expected in December 2026 was postponed by the Federal Office of Justice on security grounds, with no new date announced so far.
So we are preparing the integration in the sandbox and publishing this sheet, without committing to a commercial date. The first credible integrator will take the first three years of the market, but nobody yet knows when those years begin.

A company verifying an identity does not want to learn a credential format. It wants to ask a question and get an answer it can rely on.
Credential issuance
An organisation issues its own attestations into the official wallet, verifiable by anyone through the federal registers.
Proof of age without the date of birth
The technology can prove a condition is met without disclosing the underlying data. That is the point of the scheme, and it is rarely used.
Integration library
For an existing shop or line-of-business application, with a sandbox identical to production.
Log of verifications
What was asked, of whom, when, and with what result. An identity check leaves a trace, and that trace deserves to be kept properly.

- We are not selling this service today, and we accept no dated commitment.
- We do not issue the electronic identity. The state issues it, we come after.
- We guarantee no opening date, since the Federal Office of Justice has announced none.
- We do not keep verified identity data beyond what the use requires.

e-ID check
Why publish a sheet for a product with no date?
Because we are already being asked, and a written answer beats silence. The sheet says exactly where the work stands, including that it depends on a federal decision.
Can it be tested now?
Yes, on the Confederation's test environment, with the demonstration wallet. This is the right time to try a journey out, not to put one into production.
What if the federal project fails?
We stop, and this sheet will say so. We will have billed nothing in the meantime, which is exactly why we publish it in this form.
