Product feeds and shopping channels
A rejected feed makes no noise. Products drop out of the results, volume falls slowly, and people look for the cause on the bidding side for weeks.
Normalise at the source
Every channel has its requirements: manufacturer identifiers, sizes and colours declared separately, images free of promotional overlays, prices including or excluding tax by country. Fixing those in the feed means maintaining two versions of the truth that drift apart.
We fix them in the catalogue itself, then generate the feeds. The catalogue becomes the single source again, and every additional channel costs far less to open.
- Fixes made in the catalogue rather than in the feed
- Manufacturer identifiers, barcodes and required attributes
- Variants declared the way the channel expects
- Price, tax and shipping accurate per country
Watch the rejections
Rejections arrive continuously, often without a readable notification. We put monitoring on the number of active products per channel, with an alert as soon as a drop appears, and handle rejection reasons in order of volume lost.
- Daily tracking of active products per channel
- Alert on an abnormal drop, before revenue is lost
- Rejections handled by volume lost, not by arrival order
- Incident history, to identify recurring causes
Opening new channels
Once the catalogue is clean, opening another marketplace becomes a mapping exercise rather than a project. We handle category mapping, channel specific pricing rules, and order retrieval into your management system.
- Category mapping onto the channel's own tree
- Pricing and availability rules specific to each marketplace
- Orders pushed into your existing management system
- Stock synchronisation, with a safety margin
Product feeds and shopping channels
Why have our products disappeared from Shopping?
In the vast majority of cases because of a silent rejection: a missing required attribute, a price inconsistent with the page, or a non compliant image. The first step is counting the products actually active, which sizes the problem in minutes.
Do we need a paid feed management tool?
Not necessarily. Such tools are useful beyond a certain number of channels, but they often serve to mask a poorly maintained catalogue. We prefer to clean the source, then decide whether the tool is still justified.
Do you handle marketplaces as well as comparison sites?
Yes. The logic is the same, with extra constraints on shipping times and customer service, which then belong as much to logistics as to the feed.
